The Young Urban Preservationists and Slow Road Travel Present: Backroads and Byways: Medina

We all love Rochester but sometimes you just need to get out of town for a day, right? The Young Urban Preservationists in partnership Slow Road Travel, are bringing you Backroads & Byways: Medina, the first in a series of daytrips to check out the roads less traveled and to explore historic places and exciting projects in small towns throughout the region.

In the historic Erie Canal village of Medina, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at in-progress building rehabs, a completed loft conversion, and see how Medina’s young entrepreneurs are breathing new life into this small community. We’ll end the day with live music at a truly unique open-air venue (where you can purchase locally made mead).

$20 tickets cover travel (we’re going old school and renting a big yellow school bus!) and dinner. Drinks are up to you. The fun takes place on Saturday, June 13th from 2pm to 10pm.
